Lil Yachty took to social media to reveal that the sequel to his debut 2016 mixtape, Lil Boat 2, is dropping on March 9. He accompanied the reveal with album cover art, which features Lil Yachty standing in a body of water.  Yachty has been teasing that Lil Boat 2 was “coming soon” since last August.  Lil Boat 2‘s release became imminent when Yachty said that the project was done during an Instagram Live session in early January.  Lil Boat 2 has plenty to live up to, as the original debut mixtape featured “1 Night,” which is still Lil Yachty’s biggest hit. Lil Boat also included the “Minnesota” remix featuring Quavo, Skippa Da Flippa, and Young Thug. Lil Yachty is also expected to star in more projects this year in addition to Lil Boat 2, namely from the Yachty/Migos/Gucci Mane supergroup and a Lil Pump collaboration.
