What it is with American Idol?

The auditions are finally over! 309 singers have made it to Hollywood and last night was the line-up-like-a-firing-squad-and-sing-for-your-life-because-half-of-you-are-going-home kind of night as the contestants choose a song and had to sing it a cappella in groups of 10.  A confident Johnny Keyser made it through with his smooth performance and left J.Lo smiling. Jane Carrey, Jim Carey’s daughter, didn't go through after she predicted that she would be there the whole week. Oh and Symone Black fell off the stage after singing a rendition of "Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay." Shock and worry from the whole room as everybody wondered if she would be OK. We'll find out more that make it to the next round tonight as Hollywood Week brings us the group round.

What it is with Madonna?

It's no secret that Lady GaGa has stolen a few trade secrets from Madonna, but the material mom is fine with being imitated.  While lesser women might get catty over being copied, Madonna says she's found LG's attention "amusing" and "well done," not to mention "flattering." Reports are that she’s not too happy with MIA though! A source said, "Madonna wasn't impressed.  She prides herself on professionalism. M.I.A. did nothing similar in rehearsals. Nobody knew she was going to pull this stunt."  This “stunt” comes at an unfortunate time for Madonna, who just announced a world tour, and isn’t thrilled for the tour news to be overshadowed by negative publicity.  

What it is with Katy Perry?

Looks like Katy Perryhas found a shoulder to cry on. Sounds like she's been talking to ex Josh Grobin and it's helping her get through her divorce from Russell Brand. But wait, another rumor is that Katy is drowning her divorce sorrows like Jennifer Lopez did. She may be spending time in the arms of her French backup dancer Malik Le Nost.
